Most of us long to be intimate with our partners (whether newly together or been married for years). Sadly, it’s a fact of life (and has been so for years) that men just do not get as much sex, lovemaking, call it what you will, as they need or want. It’s natural and instinctual for a guy to want to have sex. It doesn’t mean you’re deviant or depraved or an animal, rather it means you’re completely normal.
Unfortunately, what happens in many cases after the first flush of excitement with a new romance is over, familiarity starts to settle in. Then ‘life’ just happens. The days go by and the sex becomes less and less. This is serious. It’s the number one complaint to therapists. So, as guys, what on earth can you do about it? Well, ‘you’ can make the effort for a start to really pleasing your woman.
Yes, we know you know all there is to know on the subject but a few pointers are worth just going over. Women in general do not like being ‘jumped on’. Example, you’re feeling horny as hell and just want to jump her bones. Note to self: not going to happen. This is only going to tick her off massively and prove her point that you are a senseless and tactless individual she’s gone and got herself mixed up with.
Now I don’t mean the occasional quickie; that’s good for both parties but in general, really guys, you need to put in a bit of effort.
And when your girl makes a bit of effort, as in she’s obviously dressed up for you (whether it’s Sexy Lingerie or a naughty outfit), do make sure you voice your appreciation. Likewise when she’s done her hair and is smelling all sweet and delicious. A point of note – make sure you’re smelling clean and sweet yourself. Not all women admire the ‘caveman’ smell of sweat and the like. Clean is sexy – to women that is.
If you’re not yet living together and she’s come over to your place, for God’s sake, make sure the place is clean and looks decent. And if nothing else, make sure you have clean sheets (please!) and a clean bathroom. Nothing is going to put a woman off more if you ignore these basics. Of course, if you’ve just picked up a loose woman for the night, then it really doesn’t matter now, does it? And if that’s the case, make sure you wear protection. Okay, ’nuff said on that one!
So back to pleasing your girl. Assuming it’s someone you’d like to be long term or it might even be your wife, just remember, women absolutely love affection and romance. So, take the time, make the effort and show her how important she is to you. Before you jump in the sack as well as when you’re making hay.
Think a chilled bottle of wine or bubbly and two glasses, some strawberries or grapes to feed one another, soft music, dimmed lights, petals on the bed (yes really – she will love this one); or you can run her a hot bubble bath and light some candles in the bathroom, give her a gentle massage on her back and shoulders, play with her hair. Yes, I know they all sound like clich
